Reading Theory

For SSR I have been a text called The National Mall on a website called 'Reading Theory'.Reading theory is an amazing website were you read a text the give you and after reading the text you are answered a series of question and using your knowledge that you have collected from the text you use to answer the questions.But the first grade you start at is grade 9 and more answers you get wrong you go down,but when you go down there is always a way to move up and that is to get all of your answers right,but it really depends.I'm on grade 7

Below is the text I am reading a the questions:

Good Gardeners

For Inquiry we had been learning about being a good gardener and what skills good gardeners need. Also what what Generosity means and Patience means.

Kaya-Generosity means to show or to be kind and caring towards someone who is in need of it.A gardener always welcomes guest to help themselves and always share what they had grown.Generosity means to take care of your plants and show the kindness to them. You can do that by feeding it water everyday. I believe that good Gardeners need to show the kindness of taking care of a plant.

Kaya-Obviously patience is the key to gardening.Plants need time to grow they can’t grow just like that with a snap of a finger.Not even thanos could grow that fast.So people struggle with patience but gardens are great at it.Because gardeners had experience.

P.E
This week we played Long Ball again,But this time our P.E was playing and I was in his team.It was really fun because I caught the ball.

It was a great day because everyone was playing fair and looked like they were having so much fun.

This is my persuasive Writing about~Should kids have a phone?~

I potently believe that young people shouldn’t be able to have a mobile phone,When it comes to owning a
phone parents are concerned that their kids might be getting bullied,catfished but most definitely they are
getting distracted.

Firstly I think that kids shouldn’t have phones because of bullying.Kids go onto social media sites such
as Instagram,Snapchat,Messenger,Twitter and Facebook nearly everyday,Kids use these sites to
communicate with friends and family.But not everyone are friends.Kids between the ages of 12-16
are getting messages like ‘your ugly’, ‘ew look at your face’ and many more nasty messages.These
messages are making kids feel insecure about themselves and making them feel bad

Secondly there are nasty people catfishing your kids and you need to trust them.

How do you know the person your kids are talking to are actually who they say they are?

You don’t and thats whats bad about it.You never know who your children could be talking to.
They could be an 50 year old lady for all we know.Pretending to be someone that goes to there school.

Thirdly it’s distracting kids from reality.Fresh air is good for kids and they need it.But phones are
distracting them from fresh air,family and chores.When your working late at work and the house is
a mess you would expect that your kids would clean up,but most of the time their on their phones and
theres dishes all over the counter and there is a huge mess to clean when you get home.

In conclusion I think that if you are giving your kids a phone to set rules and how long they should be on
there phone,or else your going to be really exhausted.Take it from my mother don’t make the mistake
she did by giving my little siblings phones so they could watch YOUTUBE.

Read ~Theory is a great learning site for reading books and answering quizzes. It is a great learning site to increase your levels of reading and also understanding questions. 

Maths

We are learning to use multiplication and division to solve 'whole unknown' problems (without diagrams).

Writing-Mobile Phones

This is my introduction for my writing.Because we just wrote our introductions that all we had to post so enjoy.



I potently believe that young people shouldn’t be able to have a mobile phone,When it comes to owning a phone parents are concerned about what their children are going on.Personally i think that kids shouldn’t be allowed phones.Because there is too much responsibility into owning a cell phone.

Book Review

Shop Till You Drop Dead.

I have been Reading Goosebumps, it is written by R.L Stine.

The type of book is a choose your own adventure book.  

This book is mostly about a guy Reggie owns this shop

and you and Julie make a bet with him. You have to get

one item from each floor you go to. These are the items

you need to get from each floor:

Floor 1: a man's leg

Floor 2: poisonous perfume

Floor 3: Heart attack backpack

Floor 4: Baby's booties

Floor 5: Silver arrow

Floor 6: Volcano Steam

Floor 7: The Final showdown

What I liked about this book is how interesting it is and

because it's adventure. For example if you want to go to floor 3

you have to turn to page 33. Or if you just want to skip

ahead and go to floor 7 for the final showdown you turn

to page 77.I also like all the funny parts in it. It was a very

cool book. What have you been reading lately

N.Y.L.D

On Tuesday Tehanah, Kohatu,Kohl-lee and I went with Whaea Lucy to meet up with Whaea Louise and the kids she had chosen to pick from the schools she had been to.So what this was all about is that.These social ladies go to different schools and choose leaders out of the entire school and we were going to Auckland to the National Young Leaders day and it was so fun.We went with kids from Moerewa school,Totara Grove,Okaihau College,Opononi School and Keri High.
