Young Leaders Programme
Last week on wednesday Tehanah,Kohatu and I were taken up to the Ngapuhi Iwi Social Services for this young leaders programme .When we got there we were 2nd school there.After all the schools got there we played a few ice braking games.Then we introduced our self to everybody.After the introducing was finished a lady came in to talk to us about our dreams and aspirations and we got to watch a video.Then we had lunch and then she asked us what our dream job is and if we had a dream board.Then we left.While we were there I made a new friend called Sarah.She was pretty amazing.

What I think:
I think that this book is really really interesting.
I think that the book is thrilling and I love the
suspicious character.My favorite part of the story.
SPOIL ALERT!! When this girl Carlotta was getting chased
because she was an outstanding ballerina and 3 judges
wanted her to miss the auditions so she couldn’t make it into the competitions.
So they hired one of the other dancer to chase her and trap her so she could
miss her audition.Fortunately she knew this was gonna happen so she got this
other girl who looked exactly like her and told her to wait by a corner
and when she turns the corner swap and run into the closest room and I’ll
run to the auditions.When they did that little switch a roo before he
could get there she ran off as fast as she could and made it to her auditions.

Equivalent Fraction
WALT:Understand equivalent fractions.
This is what we had to do and I found it really really easy.You just have to remember to times by the right number.

“Come on Danny we got this!”,As the nerve kicked in I suddenly felt a strong
swarm of butterflies fluttering in my stomach.
As I was rowing closer and closer to the shore it felt like there was
more than butterflies in my stomach it was more like birds.When I started my
journey I realised there is no turning back.Instead of thinking
about all of the bad things that could happen I focused on
how amazing the view would be and how amazing it would
be to bike up there and that’s when I just sucked it up started my
journey.I really really enjoy showing off my skills.When I made
to the top top and just appreciate life.My journey back
down was challenging but I enjoyed it alot.I would
suggest to do this just to clear your head from everything and just enjoy life at the fullest.

My Weekend
Splash! As I hit the water my whole entire body felt like it froze due to the temperature
of the freezing cool refreshing water.As I emerged to the top of the water,I could feel the
coldness of wind blowing pass me. “Jump Mihi” I yelled to my cousin Mihiata to jump.
“Uhh no thank you” she replied as she made her way down the ladder. “Your so boring”
I said to her.As I swam away I heard her moan and then a splash, “Finally” I said as to
her as I was turning around.Now lets go swim properly. “You too Marta and Orongo”.
About half an hour later my Aunty and my Mum came down with my cousins.We ended
up going to the waterfall because it was too cold were we were swimming so
we got out of the water and made our way to the waterfall.When we got there we
realised that the sun was gone and it was only darkness left.Despite the coldness
I still went under the waterfall,Now it was at this moment I knew I messed up.After
getting out of the waterfall my whole entire body was numb.Regretting that decision
I ran back to my mum asked for my towel and completely wrapped myself up.After that
my mum took Marta and I to her house.When we got there I said goodbye to my mum
and then she left.Marta and I just spent the night having a party for her birthday and that
was all I did for the weekend.

Our successful Ki O Rahi Game
Ki o Rahi
As the nerve kicked in,I suddenly felt a swarm of butterflies fluttering inside my stomach.As I was getting ready,I suddenly stopped and started pacing back and forward visioning our game plan for Ki o Rahi.
When I got to school I said “Hi whaea” to my teacher and grabbed a shirt on my way pass to say hi to my friends.When it was time to go we lined up outside of our classes and waited.Our teachers put us in our cars.When we were all ready we were about to leave then suddenly Manaaki-tia came out of nowhere and she panicked trying to find a shirt.
When we got to lindvart Park a few of schools were already there.The first thing we did was practice communicating skills.Called noughts and crosses but in real life with cones.Let the games begin!.The first school that we played were Bay of islands.They were pretty easy.We obviously won.The score was 27-17.The second school we versered against was Rawene and because were so amazing we won again.This score was 24-7.Our last game we versered East school.The score for that game was . When they announced the finals to our surprise we were playing for 3rd place.After that challenging game.The scores were tallied up and we…….won!.
In conclusion I think my team tried their best to succeed and to put in effort so they know that tried their best and it worked out for us.Because we ended up coming 3rd.
